Congrats to Hady Mirza, the winner of the first Asian Idol competition. To be honest, I’m not really surprised with the result. The main reason behind this is the voting system in Asian Idol. Last night, Mike, Jaclyn, and Mau gave their best performances. But their best performances won’t make most people outside their home country to vote for them. Since we have to vote for two idols, people will tend to vote their home idol and idol with weaker performance.
For example, most people in Indonesia won’t vote for Mike and Jaclyn or Mike and Mau since Jaclyn and Mau are the closest competitor for Mike. But people in Indonesia tend to vote Mike and idol with weak performance such as Hady Mirza, Abhijeet Sawant, or Phuong Vy. And I think this is also happen in other countries where people vote their home idol and idol with the weak performance. So, no wonder that Hady Mirza could become the first Asian Idol. But it doesn’t matter who is the winner of the first Asian Idol. All of them are the winner to me. BTW, it’s just my analysis. So, if you have something to say just leave your comments. If you want to download mp3 or video of the result show, you can check them here. And last night performance can be checked here.
Totally undeserved win for Hady. *sigh*
It should have been Mau or Mike.
Yup, your analysis is right. Jauh lebih bagus Mike atau Jack pas show kemaren, tapi pas Hady menang sempet kaget juga… Sayang sekali Mike belum menang, maybe next time the Voting system will be better
I think it is quite hard for people to figure out if the voting system was benefit to whom. For instance, you might be right when saying people tend to vote for their home idol (Mau, Mike, Jaclyn) and idol with least performance (Hady, Abhijeet, or Phuong Vy) to avoid voting for the closer competitors. But at the same time, people from India or Vietnam would vote for their home idol and idol with the best performance to eliminate the chance of the last place for their country. The judges’ vote might as well fall into the same partern. Also, the rate of using SMS in each country should be considered rather than the population itself, because Singapore surely have a relatively high rate comparing to Indonesia or India.
I think He just get an “unpredictable” lucky vote. This is my prediction how Hady won this Asian Idol Competition:
1. Most Indonesian People know that Hady’s parents come from Indonesia (from Buginese Tribe), that’s what Hady mention before the competition start. So, probably. most Indonesian will choose Hady as their second vote.
2. I think most malaysian People will vote Hady as their second vote since Hady is Singapore delegation which is part of Malaysia (before they parted).
3. Some Philippine People will vote Hady as thair second vote because they know that Hady vocal coach came from Philippine.
4. The other will vote Hady as second vote because He is delegation from small country, so they think if they vote Hady, it will not make him won.
5. Other prediction is most of the voter don’t understand how this voting counting system works. They don’t know that it is not number will count but the average % per country will be used. So you can imagine if Hady get second place in all country.
6. The last prediction is most voter is a young deaf girl, who is more concern on their eyes than their ear (of course, they are deaf).
So, I predict that Hady won this by second vote.
i totally agree with Thong Huynh.
However its true that in the competition itself Hady didnt do his very best. But u guys should check out on youtube. Just type Hady Mirza. Listen to his voice first and then you guys can leave your 2 cents worth here.
Besides, i think that Jaclyn is not that good as well. Yes, she has a damn powerful voice esp with HIGH notes, but its just that. When it comes to songs with low notes, her voice becomes totally flat.
Seriously. You guys shough listen to Msia’s rendition of HSM ‘You are the music in me’ and you can definitely recognise her super flat voice. No offense but its just disturbing to see ppl condemning Hady. He’s not bad you know. Wrong choice of song, i must say. As for mike, i think he’s really capable of singing, talented definitely. I’m very sure he’ll do very well even tho he didn’t win Asian Idol. He might do better than Hady, who knows eh?
Put aside the fact that you really do not like Hady but lets just be happy that we finally have an Asian Idol to be proud of. He’s definitely good-looking,charming and very down-to-earth. Happy everyone?
I still think they, all 6 of them are winners. Its just an extra bonus for Hady.
I felt that the voting system (sms) for this contest could be quite confusing to some ppl. Some ppl might not be aware that they have to vote 2 countries or else their voting will be void, or they just simply don’t follow instruction. That might be the other reason why…
I think we should stop giving Hady flak, and just accept his win. And we should congratulate him and feel proud of him- no matter what, he does deserve this, and we shouldn’t be taking away his glory in any way.
the event should have been held in a non-participating country with a good texting population in order to give equal footing to all participants.. it is inevitable that there would be biases with the voting.. and as you’ve guys said, this would give the mediocre ones an advantage that not everyone would see right away…
imo, the real competition was between mau and mike if it only boiled down to only singing prowess.
I am Singaporean, we leave in Multiracial I am proud of our Contestant Of Hardy Mirza joint ASIAN IDOL, and cogrulate him won the First Asian Idol ,we all singaporean proud of you.Even there is good contestant but the final is vote by million people of their country. And i have read people comments about him but all this is not true coz singing need talented person good command of words, infact personality is parts of it. If that so, we dont blame or condemmed people without judge others era of personal gromming and good deliver of vocal.
Hady Mirza won the Asian Idol beacuse of the lucky and disqualified only. I’m sure most people in Asia feel unsatisfied with this result except Philipine. Because I think the qualified contestant in this event are Mike Mohede and Mau Marcellino. But they become the unfair voting system.
Whatever it is he won. Undeserving or not, he won. That’s all is matter. He won! You can’t take back his winning? Can you? Whoever won, someone is bound to criticized. How hard the SMS voting can be? 2 country, 1 SMS. You like you vote. You don’t like you don’t vote. Duh!! It’s not rocket science!
weird!
i only watch the parts that singers were singing in english
i completely understand what they’re singing
that’s one big factor in a multi diversed contest
kudus to mau and jaclyn.
I think all people judge Hady wrongly because they do not understand what an “Idol Competition” is. The Idol Competition is not a song competition but it is a “Voting Competition”. If it is song competition you may hear from a radio and we do not need the television. So it is not only the vocal technique nor the colour of the voices that make public choose, it is comprehensive, the performance on the stage. To be honest to most young girls, Hady is the choosen type as a calm, handsome and humble person. He knows that he won’t be avle to beat the voting number against Indonesia for example the most populated country. He humbly said that his ancestor came from Indonesia. So many factors will determine someone performace on the stage. Like or dislike, I myself urge you all people to congratulate him. He is the Asian Idol because you vote him in a VOTING COMPETITION. Fair enough, come on.
whatta dissapointing result..
Tapi, Idol Competition memang gak selalu memberikan result yang memuaskan semua orang karena memang semua pilihan masing-masing. Tapi, kalau memang analisis atas kemenangan Hady adalah karena voter prefer to choose their own respective idol + the least performance (artinya they vote HADY by accident (baca:secara gak sengaja!). Untung-untungan bangett…
Yah..emang ternyata si Hady beruntung bangett..
Though some of the commentators in this blog said that Hady has the Capability, good voice, etc..But seems like he didnt show any of those great efforts in the previuos performances. Definitely Mau Marcello outwight the other Idols (though I also vote for Mike). But however, It’s just my own thought..
The result can be changed, so however I want to congratulate Hady (and their voters)..Hopefully, Hady will be the Inspirational Idol (just like He said when Anu asked him if he were the Asian Idol)
I was so disappointed with the result… But with all the exposure of all 6 of them I think the other 5 will definitely make it because of the contest… Other countries aside from their own respective countries don’t know who they are before Asian Idol… I’ve voted for Mau and Mike because I can feel the emotions they are trying to tell the audiences with their songs… They are so good… But one person can’t really do anything if the rest of Asia is thingking otherwise… Sigh…
Vocally, Mau was good. Also Jaclyn. But overall package, I like Hady. After I saw all the performances, I decided that I like Hady from Singapore to win as Asian Idol.
TED/PHILIPPINES
Published ten (speculative) reasons in my blog why Hady won!
Yucky!
Mike and Jac rocks! Even Mau! Not Hady! No matter what those weirdo fans go on about how Hady might be better than the others and try so hard to justify it. Tone deaf boyband lovers got their say and continue to bitch about it being an upset simply because they’re intoxicated with Hady’s look. Bleurrgghh!.
Definitely NOT an Asian Idol to be proud of. Looks? What else can he do?
Hady IS a good singer…do not judge just by his singing during the Asian Ido..check out how he performed during Spore Idol…He, just like Jaclyn are superb..!
Just like Missy mentioned…maybe wrong choice of song contribute to your bad comments
Congrats Hady, and congrats Singapore!
Hello!
I know everybody is sad with the fact that their country do not win the Asian Idol. Like the judges said “Every Idol standing before them is a winner”. Don’t get too agitated because you should be proud that your country sent someone to be a representative in the Asian Idol.
I have to agree with Missy. I don’t deny that Jac, Mau and Mike have the most powerful voice among all but this is a music industry. This is reality that any producer or record company will look at package. Hady is definitely Good-looking, out-going, never proud of himself and you guys can even see that he do not expect himself to win the Asian Idol. Look at his expression. Of course he must be feeling happy because he win but don’t tell me you guys won’t smile if you guys win Asian Idol.
I think you guys should really watch again his performances at You Tube before jumping to conclusion about what you guys assume an “unpredicted” winner.
Remember, all Idols are winners. I love all of the Idols from all the six countries but maybe Hady had that extra name to it.
All of them are winners in their own right. The voting system is, inevitably, flawed due to the different population in each country, different wealth and so on. But, in retrospect, I think that this Asian Idol should not be staged at Jakarta. Simply because it is one of the participating countries for this singing competition. It is rather unfair to see many of the Indonesian supporters over there.
I also think that Jaclyn Victor has indeed put up a very good performance as compared to Hady. But that does not mean Jaclyn is a better singer. A lot of factors come into play in deciding who’s good and who’s not. Hady has picked the wrong songs. Songs that do not allow him to show the best of him. The same, I feel, goes for the Indian idol too. I truly looked forward to his performance (for the Indian song) but it truly disappointed me.
Whatever the cause for Hady’s win, ultimately this Asian Idol is only its first. The winner has been revealed. Let the organizers learn from any mistake, inherent or not, and avoid them in the future.
Congrats to Hady Mirza.
I’M SHOCKED “THE FIRST ASIAN IDOL IS HADY MIRZA” .
WOW AMAZING !!!!!
WHAT THE HECK HAPPEN ????
WOW !!!!!!!!
GOOD JOB ASIA !!!!
we should all be proud of Hady regardless of our nationalities ( am from the Philippines ) , I really love Mau to win the contest but Hady deserves the title as the 1’st Asian Idol, he got a different type of voice which appeals mostly to the younger generation which I think is where the contest intended for.
and Yes, Missy is right …Hady is charming, he got this boyish smile which makes us all feel happy and proud to be Asian…….
it’s really unbelieveable when hady’s name was announced as a winner.. i still think that main reason he won the competition was because of his look (he’s good looking got to admit that..). but i doubt that he could sing well if compare to mike / jac / mau.. especially mike.. i love the time when he duet with guy sebastian.. really thumb up for him.. and i think judges had a big suprised as well.. it’s out of their expectation.. anyway, the result is out.. and the winner is still hady mirza.. congrats hady
Missy, your comment r not making sense. U r condemming Jac vocals but praising Hady’s? and u suggest that we watch youtube for more of Hadys… haha thats is laughable. Yes i already done that, and i cant believe that is our first asian idol.
U said finally we have an Asian idol that we proud of? Can u imagine Hady represent Asian country as the Asian Idol on World Stage? Seriously, i will feel embarassed actually. People from other countries might wonder, thats the best from Asian?
I am a filipino and i am rooting for mau, i wish her to win, and i also like mike of Indonesia, he,s got a soft voice… But it’s a shock that Hady of singapore won the competition.. what a Question???? Ha ha ha, I’d rather vote for Jacklyn than Hady.. What a shame… Better luck next time..
I was freaking shock too. I never expect the name Hady Mirza will be announce. Gosh! He is far away behind mike, jac, and mau. Wake up asian! I dont mind if it is sms vote. but 2 country in 1 sms .. it make most people confuse, and dont really know the stately to vote within 24 hours. The SMS voting system is just a big mistake. Should just let the judge decide 50% and sms 50%… else if fans vote 100% - in the end they will just download the mp3 ahahahah…
check out my latest post in blog.. http://www.el.freakzter.com
If I were an India, I would definately choosed Hady for my 2nd name in the message instead of Phuong Vy. He dared to duet sing the India song and he won my emotions rather then someone who said he/she would love to promote ‘their’ country songs in the region. Well, I need ‘my’ song to be heard.
He sang songs in Malay, in English and in India. He is the ‘richest’ character.
He seemed so enjoy and excited on the stage. When asked about what he wanted to achieve if he became the Asian idol, didn’t he said he wanted to be an inspirational singer. This is a huge answer.
His voice might be a bit less then the others but he got the right attitude to be the star.
Just my 2 cents okay….
I REALLY JUMPED ON MY SIT..
HADY MIRZA?? OH COME ON…
THOSE ARE BETTER THAN HIM…
but well it’s better than M…
MIKE u always still to be the Winner of My heart and Indonesia…
Now…let download the songs hehehehhe
Thanx Indra… 6_^
It’s not that important who the winner of the 1st Asian Idol is. The competition should lead us to ‘friendship’ and ‘respect’, among the Asian countries.
The true winner is one who could accept losing, then improve the quality, and one who could take winning, then keep the quality at the top. As you all know : ‘the best is never rest’. We can’t judge those 6 incredible talents, only by statistic and number, in a very short period. Salute to all 6 idols who has represented their country at their very best effort. Congratulation for Hardy Mirza, as being the 1st Asian Idol.
I really think hady deserved to win. His performance is good . I did not vote for
anyone but am happy of the outcome of the result. No doubt he is charming
looking but he also possess a lovely voice. The others tried too hard and it didnt
work. Hady is a natural singer and he looks very comfortable on stage.
So congrats to you, Hady!
wow…. comment-nya banyak banget ndra??? kerennn….
emang seyh bagusnya berita internasional di postingnya pake bahasa inggris…
you rock ndra… so…. emang hady is the luckiest guy this time.. But why should we vote 2 country at 1 message??? maybe next time, biar asian idol ga kaya gini lagi.. vote-nya 1 country for 1 message…. it’s so technical failure to vote i think……
Congrats to Hady Mirza! He deserved to win 1st Asian Idol as has e whole package..Hady has a unique voice and he can sing all genre of music dats most impt to be a professional singer!
Let’s not argue over e votes as e ultimate truth is out there..
3 Cheers for Hady Mirza!!!!
gosh!! i’m so so surprised that hady won!! i really thot mike would. sigh…
i’m sooooooooooooooooo disappointed with the result. It’s not that i don’t like Hady, in fact, i find him charming, dashing, humble - all you can look for in an IDOL, minus the talent.opppsss!!!sorry to say that. I dont wanna be mean..yes he can sing and got a good voice but compared to Mau, Jaclyn and Mike???better think twice. i really wanted for Mau to win but what can we do???they got the lousiest voting scheme, which i guess was one of the factors for Hady’s winning. ANyway, congratulations Hady!!!show the Asian people and prove to us that we were wrong though…and to Mau - the PHILIPPINES is so proud of you!!!
To Heru… I Think ur reasons numbered 1,2 and 4 is ratther irrelivant. i think u should analyse more on do more research. and for ur 6th reason, if ur saying that a deaf girl would vote for Hady, u are also implying on the whole of Singapore because he’s the Singapore idol and everyone in Singapore voted for him, I think you should watch what you are typing.
I strongly belief that Hady should have not won but luck falls on his side. and if Thong Huynh thinks that Singapore has a high rate of sms, think again. Singapore is the smallest country among the 6, why do they sore as 1 nation. Its held in Indonesia, and everyone expect Mike to win but, i dont think the citizens are not supportive enough..

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_idol
There are several differences in voting and tabulation between Asian Idol and other Idol shows. Unlike the latter wherein the viewers get to vote for one contestant, the voting procedure for Asian Idol requires viewers to send SMS votes for two favorite Idols, thus allowing contestants to receive votes aside from their respective countries.[6][21]
As consideration on population size among the participating countries, tabulation of votes are done through an “Equal and Even Cumulative Method”, wherein the total votes of each country are converted into percentages.[21][22] The winner was determined through 50% viewers’ votes and 50% judges’ scores.[23]
There are however concerns about the accuracy of this voting procedure. As most if not all voters would have attempted to pair their own favorite with another contestant who in their view was the most unlikely winner so as to give their own singular favorite the most advantage possible (i.e. negative pairing). Under that circumstance, an undesirable effect may be that the unintended negaive votes would actually accumulate to a large number if the majority decided on the same contestant as the candidate for negative pairing. In that event the result could be interpreted as voting for not the most popular idol but for a contestant that viewers believe to be the weakest candidate to become Asian Idol.[citation needed]
Visit http://showbizandstyle.inquirer.net/entertainment/entertainment/view/20071210-105876/RP_bet_leading_%91Asian_Idol%92_poll
Quote:
Perci Intalan, ABC 5’s head of Creative and Entertainment Production, told Inquirer Entertainment that the result of the online poll was largely indicative of the contestants’ current standing in the regional contest which is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia for the first time.
“Mau’s closest competitor seems to be Vietnam’s Phuong. Mike, on the other hand, was chosen by Indonesians in a contest among four local ‘Idol’ winners. I heard that Malaysia’s Jaclyn is a superstar in her own country, though.”
Voting system
“In sum, they’re all strong contenders,” explained Intalan who had seen the contestants’ performance videos in the “Road to Asian Idol” TV special, aired on ABC 5 last Saturday.
According to the web site, viewers will be asked to vote for two contestants to eliminate “population size … as a determining factor. It takes into account any potential national bias.”
The system was formulated by FremantleMedia, “Idol” franchise holder, to ensure a level playing field.
It’s mathematical, Intalan agreed.
However, he disagreed with the strategy being proposed by some Filipinos in websites and blogs. “To help Mau, they suggest that voters pick Mau as first choice and the weakest candidate as second. The thing is, we have no way of knowing who’s the weakest,” he clarified.
End of Quote
Now it is quite clear that the majority has a very clear idea who the weakest candidate is.
Hmm… kayaknya voting system faulty… they had to make it two votes per country to counter the fact that some countries had more population (i.e. Indonesia & India)… and I think some of the comments on this blog was spot on: Hady was probably the second vote for many people regardless of their country. While I agree that his vocals probably isn’t the best compared to the so called top three (Mike, Jac & Mau) he probably have enough international appeal in the sense that he looks good and has such a personable manner. In other words, he’s more commercial than the rest! Anyway, congrats Hady Mirza!
some ppl above just dont seem to get that it wasn’t ONLY a singing competition. its a ‘whole package’ competition. being able to sing excellently is NOT enough.
Jaclyn could sing, she’s technically superb. and she looks good. however, the way she sang all her songs, it seemed like she was BORED and was just going through the whole routine. she didnt engage with the audience with her expressions. just hit the high notes only. and she looks over-confident all the time. its only natural for ppl like humble ppl.
mau is another great singer. very expressive in her vocals. but then again…as an idol… you need to have the commercial package. as much as we hate to admit it (cos its shallow), good looks and ‘proportion’ play a big part as well. look at Ruben Studdard, winner of American Idol 2. Where is he now? not as popular as Clay aiken or kelly clarkson or carrie underwood thats for sure.
i love mike’s vocals. but mike will be a ruben studdard if he won asian idol. there’s nothing exciting to him besides his lovely vocals. once again…think commercial success…good looks…proportion…ability to sing well. mike’s like a cuddly singing teddy bear. too adorable to be idol material.
abhijeet phuong vy and hady were the ones with the weaker vocals in the competition, as compared to jac mau and mike. but they have the looks. however phuong vy was not entertaining enough. sweet looker but boring. and we all know most voters make up of excited young girls. who do you think they’d vote for? a singer prettier than them or handsome looking boys?
between abhijeet and hady, in terms of package, they are probably equal. but abhijeet sounds better singing hindi songs. the kuch kuch hota hai song was probably the most entertaining. if you look at it the wrong way, they look like two gays singing a love song. hilarious and entertaining.
that leaves with hady…he can sing english songs as well as malay songs. his accent is not thick and is understood by all. he can dance well enough to make the girls scream, he’s got the looks, he can sing reasonably well and he knows how to work the crowd. those traits are essential in the commercial entertainment industry.
just my fifty cents worth.
there is a winner in everyone…no one has the right to criticise anyone of the 6 idols.all give their very best that night. But there is always a person who is outstanding from the other 5. there is some sort of uniqueness in every winner. Maybe not so much of the voices but maybe other factor that lead to Hady’s winning….he look relax when he perform and does not overdo it. he does not expect anything coz of his shock expression. WE must be proud of all 6 and not do otherwise. We All Muz be Proud of OUR ASIAN IDOL, HADY MIRZA…:)……wish everyone the best and may god bless them…and keep soaring to greater heights now and to the future…:)…stop critisizing as he is Known as our asian idol and if this continues is a though as we are humiliating our own asia coz Hady is representing US……:)
And the first ASIAN IDOL is…
HADY MIRZA from singapore!
and then..i was totally shocked!
WHAT? HADY MIRZA? ARE YOU INSANE? YOU MUST BE KIDDING!…
for me, Hady is the worst singer in that show…
So..ASIA..you have made a very bad decision..you just get all wrong i must say…
I don’t believe ASIAN IDOL anymore!
hi Yang Zunyi, u will be ashamed if hady is representing Asian?? which country are u from?? will u be proud if it was u representing instead
Not all voters are stupid to pick the least best as their 2nd vote. And guys its 50-50. Y not blame the judges for giving ’some’ points to hady??
if mike or jac or mau were to win, the other 3 countries supporters will not be happy quoting indonesia/ malaysia and philipphines is a big country….
no one will ever be satisfied. Just live with it he is singapore and asian idol.
Yes perhaps singapore don’t have a big music industry but he sang with his heart and won voters…. having the package of looks humbleness and voice i guess he is the package an idol is all about. Its true sometimes instead of the idol the runner up will carve a better career so as asian we should be proud of him he won rite? Every idol put in great effort …. all are winners..hady just topped them….. be a happy person ….it reduces stress
Asian Idol is supposed to the the coming together of all the idols to celebrate singing prowess, etc. Who ended up as the actual winner is actually of little consequence to us the common people.
But when a faulty voting system just loused things up like this, it’s just … Trying to convince ourselves otherwise when it is less than believable is just difficult to stomach. It is insulting to the intelligence.
too bad for those who didn’t vote for their favourite =)
I so agree with doldadi…. This Idol comp is not just about your singing talent but overall package… You also cannot judge a person’s voice quality merely on 2 songs…The bottom 3, (Hady included, as most of you seem to agree on) happen to be those with the most commercial value…. Hady just happened to be the more preferred choice… We should stop disagreeing on the winner but concentrate on supporting our Asian Idol.. I agree with the filipino judge that we should be united.. Whatever it is, all the idols are winners in their own ways…Congrats Hady Mirza, u have done Singapore proud!! We lurve uuuu!!!
Agree with Yang Zunyi, imagine if he is going to compete with other continents’ idols to represent Asia? Just listen to the difference of Beautiful Day of his and World Idol winner, Kurt Nielsen’s, it’s like heaven and earth….
He’s not that bad, he’s good, plus he’s good looking, certainly a good idol… but to think that only he will get an international recording contract and travel all over the world to watch idol contests, ugh… i think it’s unfair…Mike is definitely better and will make a really great quality album if given an international recording contract…
Oh, how I hope the BMG or EMI will be interested in Mike and offer him to make an album…
Congratulation for Mirza. I know Singapore people is least. But in their least there is some power between Singapore and Mirza.
Hehehehe i was vote for Mike and Jaclyn
hi clive y not u suggest a good voting system. Initially my thought was the same as u. The voting system is faulty but think of these …. how can u actually have a proper voting system with so many country involved ?? I believe this is the best they can think of for now. Flawless or not there can never be a perfect one.
Someone say do it at neutral ground….still how to vote?? means all supporters that goes there can vote??
Yang Zunyi,
i think you got me wrong.
Nope i am not condemning Jaclyn. BUT, even if i did, what’s the big deal?
Afterall, everyone else is condemning Hady, aren’t they?
But that is besides the point.
What i am trying to say is there is more to ASIAN IDOL than just the ability to sing well.
If Asian Idol is all about singing, then i think they would have let the judges pick the winner afterall, they are the most ‘qualified’ ppl to decide the winner.
HOWEVER, Asian Idol also oversees other factors, and as a whole its not just abt singing.
You have got to have the whole package.
No doubt about that. That is the way the entertainment industry works.
Yes i do agree Hady’s voice didn’t really outshine the others like Mike, etc but i think he won because he is able to capture audiences’ attention and engage with them. He may not be a singer but he definitely is a performer. With a capital P, that is.
He’s very comfortable on stage.
Jac however, was to preoccupied with singing high notes. Just watch the Asian Idol again and you will definitely agree.
She was screaming he lungs out too much. And thus, there was no engagement between her and the audience. And to think that she is already an artist in msia, she should have done more than that.
But all that aside, i think after watching American Idol, you guys should understand that results can be unpredictable. And shocking too.
So why should we waste our time condemning Hady when we should actually feel happy for him and just hope he will do better next time.
Practice makes prefect, afterall.
Hady’s not that bad afterall. He HAS good voice but its just that his is not as good as some of the other idols.

Hady’s the best!He deserves to win!
No Missy, u have to get the point correctly. Performer with a capital P? Captured audience attention? Comfortable on stage? Personality?
I MEAN LIKE, REALLY? U really think Hady won is bcoz of all those u mentioned?
Get the fact straight u Missy, Hady won is bcoz he was the worst and weakest performer on the show. If u understand the theory and psychology thinking behind the second choice vote. Ppl pick him as their second choice so it wont treathen their first choice. God, come on! what is so hard to understand that? its all over the internet!
And to hear u critisized jac singing just prove how desperate r u trying sooo hard to justify Hady’s winning, its not even funny.
well i think no wonder why hadys won not becoz of his voice but thru votes only he dont deserve it he has an ugly voice to the board of judges ur a big DAMMMM………..ashole u dont knw how to judge such competition u should not look for an idol base on the look rather u should look for an idol who have d guts d voice..anyway most of the judges lastnight were gays kc no wonder why they choose hady…still my idol is MAU MARCELO she must be the winner tnx for representing our country though they make a biayas on ur side im still proud of you .to the judges go to hell…………………….ashole
Haha okay, okky, Hady worst singer in the show? Either you’re from India, or you’re a guy whose girlfriend’s falling for Hady.
We all know how this program works, cuz our own country did this before. And more often than not, it’s not always the vocal quality that wins votes from the mass, it’s also about the overall package.
It’s just too bad that the deserved idols weren’t crowned the Asian idol. We all know all these six idols, are winners in their own way. Hady is the asian idol. He’s from Singapore, a small country, only identified with a small red dot in the map of the world. So? Come on, don’t be sore about it. Don’t blame it on biasness whatsoever?
We have to move on with life. And live happily ever after all across Asia. We shall resolve who get Pedra Banca, talk about issues on global warming, extinguish corruptions, and world peace this christmas.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Ultimately it’s a people’s choice award…AND a winner has been chose. ..no use in criticising or justifying Hady’s win…let’s celebrate the good of Asian music people! Yang Zunyi, whatever is your problem???
So Ken Lim is Hady’s manager!!! That’s probably the reason why he keeps on putting down and even insulted the other contestants.
BAD!!!!!!!!

Hady is cute and very likeable. Not the best voice, but definitely the whole package.. Way to go HADY MIRZA, Indonesia loves U…
